Hatha Yoga for balance and ease with Catherine Lennox
Safe and supportive class, based on hatha yoga, suitable for beginners and improvers.
Strength and suppleness are equally important for your body to function well so
with emphasis on both, you’ll build strength, stability, find greater freedom of
movement and bring your body into balance. You'll learn practices proven to help
with stress reduction and the various musculo-skeletal issues associated with daily
life – desk work, driving, screen use, gardening and so on!
With the principle of ahimsa (non-harm) at the heart of the practice, you’ll stay
within a comfortable range of movement and begin to feel more at ease in your
whole body and in yourself.
I can accommodate injuries, health issues and individual needs.
£8 please book in advance catherine@rootsandrocks.co.uk or 07504127456

I went to my first yoga class in the late 1990’s when I was still getting over the loss of my childhood obsession with gymnastics. The movement part I understood, but what about the rest?! The many physical benefits kept me interested and years of practice and study with a long line of dedicated teachers in India, in the UK and the US, taught me that the competition was usually against myself, the rewards were within, by tuning into the breath and the body, I sometimes get a glimpse of the prizeQigong Classes - 7 week course from march 17th with Frances Stoakley

I believe that we learn by practice. It becomes stored in our memories and is of great comfort when we experience difficult times.
I find the inspiration in yoga for making classes to be boundless - our incredible bodies, the stimulus found in nature, movement and breath, and so much more.
Whilst the experience of alignment and transition are integral to the vinyasa style classes I teach, there is no pressure to perform perfect poses. I prefer to assist in words and visualisation to help students find pathways to peace.
I am interested in traditional and creative sequences of all kinds. Together, in class these movements and internal sensations are born or rediscovered.
