Penny Pritchard

I discovered Qigong thirty years ago when I first started training in Shiatsu. Using qigong to cultivate the energy (qi), has become a lifelong pursuit which has helped me in both my professional and private life.

Originally I trained in Hua Gong, a Daoist form of qigong. More recently I have practiiced Zhineng Qigong as a method of healing. Zhineng qigong is a method of developing human potential to bring health, happiness and harmony to ourselves and to those around us.

The form of qigong I will be teaching is Mingjue Gongfu which develops a stable, clear, and balanced consciousness. Within the session we focus on bringing pure consciousness (Mingjue) to focus deep within the body. This can improve the movement of the qi and blood and remove any pain or blockage on a physical level. On an emotional and mental level, it can allow us to release any mental or emotional stress and leave us in a deeply relaxed and balanced state. In order to achieve this, we combine a mixture of sitting, standing and dynamic movement. It can be practised from a purely seated or lying position if preferred. This form is suitable for all ages and abilities but if you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact me.

If you feel that you would prefer to join the class remotely, then it may be possible to arrange a Zoom meeting. Please call for details.

The Zhineng qigong forms of Taiji Ball,  Level 1- Lift Qi Up Pour Qi Down and Level 2- Mind Body Form will be available later this year.

I practice Acupuncture, Homeopathy, Shiatsu and NST (Bowen) therapy so if you have any concerns about the suitability of a particular qigong form for your condition, then please let me know before the class.
